1. Who we are
Birdy Black (https://birdy-black.com) is the online tattoo academy of Remco de Vogel. The platform is offered by Tattoo Birdy, Kennemerlaan 44, 1972 EP IJmuiden, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) [to be added], VAT number [to be added]. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Your account
- Most content requires an account. You give correct details and keep your password secret.
- Your account is personal. Don't share your login; we may limit the number of devices used at the same time.
- You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Profile. A running membership is stopped straight away.
3. What you can buy
- Free account: the free beginner course, preview lessons and the curricula.
- Membership: access to every course included in the membership, monthly or yearly, for as long as the membership runs.
- Masterclasses: one-off purchases. You keep access for as long as Birdy Black exists.
All prices are in euros and include VAT. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never store card or bank details.
4. Membership: renewal and cancellation
- A membership renews automatically for the same period (month or year) at the price at that time. We tell you about price changes in advance.
- You can cancel at any time under Settings → Billing → billing portal. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for; after that it doesn't renew. Running periods are not refunded unless the law says otherwise.
5. Right of withdrawal
EU consumers have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because you get access straight after paying, checkout asks you to agree to immediate delivery and to confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal. See Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds.
6. Using the lessons
- You get a personal, non-transferable right to watch the lessons for your own use.
- You may not record, copy, share, resell or publish videos, notes or downloads.
- If you misuse your access we may limit it or end your account, without a refund.
7. Important: tattooing is a regulated craft
- The lessons are educational. A Birdy Black course or certificate is not a hygiene certificate, licence or diploma. Tattoo artists must meet the hygiene and licensing rules of their country (in the Netherlands: the GGD and the Public Health Act).
- Practise on synthetic skin or practice material until you are qualified and skilled enough. You are responsible for what you do with what you learn.
8. Liability
We do our best to keep the platform available and the content correct, but can't guarantee everything always works without errors. Our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the damage, except in case of intent or gross negligence.
9. Changes
We may change these terms. We announce important changes by email in advance. If you don't agree, you can cancel your membership.
10. Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
